Depends probably on your mobo's BIOS. No USB drive or Firewire drive would be bootable on my systems because USB and Firewire only exist after Windows loads.
What is a "pen" drive? I have two Sony Micro Vaults - they are often referred to as "keychain" drives. Are we talking about the same type of thing? I use them to carry large files and patches to other locations. Also good for transporting critical data between computers when you have no LAN.
Yes, that's the sort of thing I'm reffering to. These class of devices are called by various names including keychain drives, pen drives, and thumb drives.
