Has anybody tried running a T-Bred unlocked on a KT-133A motherboard? I just received an MSI K7T Turbo2 from an RMA. I'm thinking about getting an xp1800 and trying to overclock. Anyone know if it will work?

I have that same board in an older computer and it wont accept XP's for me, dunno why.

im using my unlocked T-bred 1800 i got from newegg at 2100 speed on my chaintech kt333. 2200+ is also stable but requires a higher voltage (1.67 which isn't too high, i'd just need a better fan). I've running 266mhz FSB at 13x multi for 1.73ghz. people have hit 2ghz no problem (although at 1.9voltage...wow).

There are 1700+, 1800+, 1900+, 2000+, 2100+ tbreds and palominos and then everything 2200+ and up are tbred only. Someone correct me if I am wrong.

You are correct. I believe T-breds serial numbers start with "AXDA"...

Correct. Right now, I'm running an Athlon XP 1700+ Tbred-B that I got from newegg at 160FSB*12.5 (2000MHz, aka 2400+). Nforce2 boards automatically unlock multipliers 12.5 and below on Tbreds up to a certain point (2000+?), while on higher models of Tbred, the multipliers 13 and up are unlocked automatically, but to use the lower ones requires a hardware modification. This is AFAIK, and I could very well be wrong. 🙂
