are all socketA heatsinks compatible with socket370?

so the clips always fit and stuff? I'm about to get a 370 setup and I have an SK6 laying around so I thought I could use it.

yes the clip is the same, you can use your SK6.

Yes, Socket A/370/7 all use the same retention methods and will cross-fit, But make sure that you have enough clearance around the socket for the size of the cooler that you will be using. Eg: No capacitors in the way of anything.

Socket A -> Socket 370 is not a problem unless the clip requires all 3 "pegs" to secure itself. FYI, I have never seen one that does. It's going the other way that is incredibly dangerous.
