Are all push up bars created equal?

sygyzy

Lifer
I want to get a good set of push up bars, but am not familiar with the brands and quality behind these companies. I know with a lot of exercise equipment, lots of it is shoddily made. I mean how difficult is it to weld some metal together and call it a bench? I am not interested in something that might potentially break on me.

Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

I LOL at how it took nearly 550 views before someone posted in here.

I can just picture everyone shaking their heads going "WTF? Did I read that right? Is he serious?"

Interesting. He appears to have a decent grasp of the English language, but has absolutely no idea how to describe basic weight lifting tools.

Must be a girl thing, but I read it as push up bras.

I didn't but then again my mind isn't in the gutter 😉 j/k

I think they're usually referred to as pull up bars.

I read it that way as well.

Topic Title: Are all push up bras created equal?
Topic Summary: I see many models and many types, can I just buy any?

Needless to say, I was rather disappointed.

Me too. I was curious as to why someone would want a pushup bra but be so clueless about them. Perhaps they were trying out being a transvestite, maybe just going to a costume party. The mind boggled.

seems like there are 5 threads a day now about people wanting to exercise at home and not go to a gym.

guys ... just go to a friggin gym. it's 100x better than working at home with these gimmicky equipment pieces.

The only reason I can really see for working out at home is if you live in a pretty remote area.

The changing "scenery" at a gym is a nice bonus too. 😉

Yah or if you have kids or something too. I mean there are a lot of valid reasons, but if you have time and the opportunity to just join a gym, the benefits are much better than these little things you can use on your free time at home.

Anyone else still have no idea what the OP is talking about after reading his post 4 times?

I was under the impression that hes asking about bench presses

I don't have 30-40/mo to blow on the gym. I just run around the neighborhood instead. I have to work on the not being lazy part first.

same here

Sorry, where's the confusion here? I don't see where I typed "bras." I also didn't ask about pull-up bars or a weight bench. I am talking about PUSH UP bars, like this: link

WTF? I am asking about a simple piece of equipment to help do push ups better. I am not asking to help me build an elliptical out of wood.
