Are All Micro USB Cables The Same?

Want to order some extras from monoprice for my Evo for charge/disk drive data.

Yeah Monoprice cables will work fine. I got a couple for my Samsung Moment. Only issue was the thick plastic shielding blocked my phone from sliding open (had to trim it down with a knife), but the EVO doesn't have a slider so it's not an issue.

Connection-wise, they are, but there are definitely differences in quality.

I bought a couple of cheapo micro USB cables from some Amazon 3rd-party vendor for literally pennies (plus 2 bucks shipping).

They worked for a while, but the connectors wore down over time. Now they need to be positioned perfectly in my phone to properly function. No problems with the stock Motorola cable that came with the phone, though.

I used the cheap eBay ones...work fine. The ones I got were a little short, but work for what I need.

Ordered 4 @ 1.5' and 4 @ 3' for $16, shipped. (Wife will be getting an Evo when our contract runs out with Verizon)
That way I can keep 1 in car, 2 at work (desk and work vehicle) 1 at home and have a spare.

heh, have you bought their standard 1/8" audio cable? wow do they suck ass. Their premium line is overkill though for my needs.

But I have half a dozen of the short 1ft micro usb cables they have, works great with my Pre.

my cats seem to really like the monoprice ones. They have chewed through 3 of them now.

I still can't seem to figure out my car charger problem. They only last a month or two before they die. The light still comes on, just doesn't charge.
