Are all hubcaps universal?

Hubs caps... *Chuckle*

I find it quite shocking that manufacturers still put hubcaps on $20,000+ cars these days... even my taurus has 16" rims.
 
NO, some have indentations for the lug nuts, so if you go to a different wheel with more lug nuts or a different spacing, the hub cap will not fit.

I would rather have pressed steel wheels with cheap hubcaps than pay extra for fancy wheels. Their purpose is to hold the tire that meets the road. Nothing more.
