are all CCFL inverters the same?

can i use different inverters to light up different ccfl tubes? are they all the same?? thanks

I would say you would be fine but I would only use inverters that came with 6" CCFL with 6" tubes and 12" with inverters that came with 12" CCFL's.

Also a CCFL might not last as long with a inverter it didn't come with or could last longer. Am guessing that ain't rated exactly the same.

i was looking at svc.com and saw that there are different inverters, some put out 620v, some are 500v. i currently have one thats not marked. i want to find a replacement. how can i test the output with a multimeter? is the 620v ac or dc? i'm not familiar with ccfl and don't want to fock anything up.
