are all 16g nexus 7 the same?

- the new one at Google store

im wondering this as well. ive wanted to get one of these but i dont want to deal with something that i might have to return. did they ever fix the screen detachment issue?

Nope....Each on will have it's own unique serial number. :)

Build quality? Unknown....Most likely better as practice makes perfect so they say.

Components used? Most likely the same....Guess it's possible memory chips or other parts are from another source tho.

Buy one and see is what I'd suggest.

Depends on the level of generality by which you mean "difference". On the paper, they're all the same. But we know every chip is different in one way or another, and Nexus 7 has lots of chips in it. So in that sense there may be slight different depending on when/where it's made. Some might even have a defective chip in which case you will (hopefully) learn quickly. I believe my first Nexus 7 had a defective Wi-Fi controller.

Oh and there are human factors as well. If one finds a Nexus 7 made by angry/lazy worker at the time of assembly or checkup, its build quality might suffer accordingly. ;)
