i got my cooler via airborne, not one week after i ordered it. so on the issue of shipping, i have no gripes with ocz as of yet...
but,
what i received was a bubble-wrapped heatsink and fan. as i currently run a k6-2, i'm not experienced with the athlons, but shouldn't there be some kind of bracket mechanism? i know for sure there's supposed to be a thermal compound with the hsf, no? shouldn't this have come in a box with all the parts/instructions? all i got was an envelope with the hsf in bubble-wrap...please help.

I too ordered the agilent articooler from OCZ store (still waiting for mine; it's only been 1/2 week).

I sure hope they ship the entire package; i thought we would get a retail box. i'll let you know; in the meantime, perhaps you should call them and inquire about this. please keep us posted.
 
There's some kind of metal bracket coming out from the hsf, but it's a nonmoving part--it would seem that there would be some kind of mechanism to clip it to the hsf... does anybody have a pic? in any case, i did call on friday and left a message. i'd like to get a cpu up and running by midweek...i hope they will fix this by then. also, the contact area is a circular aluminum piece (which doesn't look all that brand-spankin' new, furthering my questioning of the part), is that all that makes contact with the cpu? I thought it'd be the shape of the cpu, rectangular--similar to the k6 hsf's...

okay, i just got back from looking at arcticooler's site, and maybe i was a bit wrong. it looks like the metal coming out of the hsf is the clip--non-moving you just have to get it onto the socket, etc. anybody w/any experience with this? i don't have the mb yet... as for the tim (thermal interface material), on the diagram they show online, it's the little black circle within the circle on the hsf--see the website for details, under www.arcticooler.com, and click on the installation diagrams. thing is, it's really thin and doesn't seem at all substantial. anybody know about this tim? am i supposed to use additional material, etc?

 
I got my arcticooler from pctoyz last week. The clip is a rigid metal bracket attached to the bottom of the heatsink (for socket use, not that complicated) as for the tim, I took on look at it and scratched it off with my finger and some rubbing alcohol and cleaned it up and applied artic silver.
