Just wondering if anyone knows of a store carrying the ArctiCooler.

I placed a preorder with Avnet, but they're not expecting them until August.

I was wondering the same thing. I have been waiting on these since May. I e-mailed Agilent then and they said the ArtiCooler would be out in mid-June. But I have been checking around and I still can't find it.
Also, where did you find out about the preorder from Avent. (I assume their website is http://www.avent.com)
I can't seem to find it on their website.
Thanks!

Oberon:

I called Agilent. I too have been waiting for this thing for months.

Here's the number for Avnet: (888) 715-4684.

I just asked for an ArctiCooler, and the lady on the other end new exactly what it was. Said they have been taking preorders for a while and are expecting a huge shipment no later than the middle of August; maybe earlier.

Aglient has updated their website a bit since I last looked at it, and they included a section I hadn't seen before about the product actually being TOO cool. It looks like they may have had a delay because of the ArctiCooler working too good! That's pretty awesome if that's the case.

Koo that you guys found these sites because they have these coolers in stock (at least that's what it seems). But I think what you found are the older Arctic Circles.
I think what CamaroGuy and I are looking for is different. Here is a look at what we are looking for:

http://www.hardocp.com/reviews/cooling/arctic_ca/index.html

If you take a look at the pictures, you will see the Arctic Circle next to the soon to arrive ArctiCooler.

Just got an e-mail from Agilent

<<The ArctiCooler been put on hold until the middle of August, due
to minor
adjustment to make it interchangeable with Intel and AMD
processor.>>

And they too named Avent as the supplier to preorder from. Looks like we'll be waiting some more. :|

Thanks for the update. I really hope this bad boy lives up to all that Agilent has marketed it to be.

0beron is correct. Those are the original Panaflo Orbs, a fantastic cooler in it's own right. But, be aware that if you order one, you'll have to figure out how to mount it.

I also notice that All Electronics has raised the price from $15 to $22.50.

The original Pana Orb without mounting hardware is not worth the $22.5-30 that those supplier are charging. You can get an Alpha for the FC-PGA for $33 shipped from 2coolTek.

The Golden Orb is a fantastic buy for half of the Alpha price and should be adequate for even extreme overclocking. It keeps my Celeron 840A at 10C above the case temperature. Do we really need anything better than the Golden Orb (and more expensive) for the coppermine core CPU's?

Oberon,

If you click on the link I posted and scroll about 3/4 the way down, they do show the new arcticooler. It showed in stock about three days ago but now it don't.

Taking a second look you are correct. If seems they list the ArctiCooler

<<In stock
Arcticooler from Agilent FCPGA-PPGA
The Polar Logic from HP is back
Black Orb FCPGA-PPGA>>

But when I click on the links they take you to a page where the only thing near what looks like an ArctiCooler are pictures of Panaflo Orbs (above HP Polar-Logic). But if I am mistaken, please correct me.
Thanks!

Oberon,

Ya, them links at the top do take you to a page with pics of the older orb, but what I am talking about is if you scroll about 3/4 down the page, they have a picture of the new arcticooler and it did show In Stock three days ago.
