Arctic Freezer 7 Pro stock thermal grease ok?

Will be getting a Q9550 on P5Q Pro with Freezer 7 Pro cooler and hoping to overclock to 3.4 - 3.6Ghz. Will this cooler take me that far?

Should I remove the stock thermal grease (if so how?) that comes with it and apply an aftermarket grease like Arctic Silver 5? Will an aftermarket one help? What is the best one?

*Edit* Just read that the cooler comes pre-applied with MX-1 which is supposedly amazing, so I should leave it alone? Is this true?

If I ever have to remove my heatsink for whatever reason do I need to re-apply more thermal grease?

Thanks

Yeah uh...pretty sure it won't take a quad core into that range. However, you should keep the MX-1/2 on there because it's pretty good stuff.

Yup, AC coolers come with good stuff. As for OCing a quad to mid 3ghz range, try a 120mm hsf. For around the same price of the AC Freezer, you could get a Xigmatek/Kingwin.

The ACF7 pro has no problems getting a Quad to 3.5, I did with a 65nm Q6600, so you should be good with a 45nm Penryn!
