I ordered one of these on 5/8, it shipped 5/9 and at 9am-ish on 5/10 it was at my front door. Thumbs up for ZZF...now if anyone could get the bloody DFI Infinity 965 in I could actually start building this thing and see how this cooler works out.

Yeah..but that's when living in CA is actually an advantage 😛

I ordered one of these last week, so it looks like I missed out on this sale. No biggie though, since it was still a good deal. Newegg has the Freezer 7 Pro listed for over $50, so they didn't get my business this time.

I just placed this Freezer 7 Pro on my hot Cedar Mill 651 (3.4 Ghz).
My CPU sometimes ran at 70 C with the stock cooler and sounded like a 747 taking off from BWI. This Freezer 7 Pro is damn near twice the size of the stock Intel cooler but seems to weight significantly less.

Its totally silent. My temps have dropped 20 C, down to 50C (read from the BIOS HW monitoring). I even used the stock goop that came preapplied on the F7P Pro.

All in all: Well worth the price, even if I'm not overclocking.

Yeah, that's what I thought but wasn't able to comfirm. My Pro 7 has been on my E4300 and running stock at around 32C at idle.

Got mine today. Lowered load temp on my X2 3800+ @2.5GHz from 65-67C to around 58C. I replaced the interface compound with some OCZ Ultra 5+ I've been using and the temps are about 2 to 3 degrees lower than with the compound that came on the heat sink. The heat sink surface is quite rough, not mirrored like in some reviews, so I think I'll have to try lapping it. Originally had a 4 heat pipe AMD cooler which really wasn't too bad but this is about 8 or so degrees cooler. Pretty decent for $21 shipped. Deal is, I believe, still available.

The OCZ Ultra 5+ must be a nice compound the included MX-1 Thermal Compound is supposed to be outstanding and much better option than Arctic Silver 5

Got mine today. FAST! Also, it came very well packaged. Almost overkill. Thanks Ewiz! I really like the fact that it is MUCH lighter than a lot of solutions out there.

I always worry about ripping my socket and CPU off the motherboard with that damn Typhoon.

If anyone picks this up, do NOT lap the sink. I picked one up a while ago and was shocked to see the heavily grooved sink. Apparently, this is a "feature." All reviews i have seen get much better cooling than my lapped version 🙁

Yeah they constantly alternate the free shipping on and off. Yesterday, I was just looking at it, and it still had free shipping so...

What I think they do is, have some heatsinks they rotate the free shipping on. Cause now the cooler master hyper Tx has free shipping, and it did not yesterday.

This is a good heatsink as well. Performs basically identical to the freezer 7. LINK
