trying to glue the heatsinks of my Extreme 7970 on the AMD board was a horrible experience with the included double G1 glue bags. Waiting for hours to harden brought me nothing. So in the end I cleaned the boards and used my old fashioned adhesive set: Loctite 315+activator 7386. What a relief:biggrin: really easy to use and in 5 minutes I was ready with the heatsinks perfectly fixed to the chips for both of my cards. I tried 2 sets of these AC G1 stuff and it is a useless piece of glue.

Is loctite thermally conductive? I worry you may have put an insulating material on your chip, many epoxies are very good thermal insulators.
