This is a good thing- the first not-painful sub $100 tablet.

As a device its not terrible- it has the same guts as a Droid X except only 256mb RAM. The screen is capacitive, but meh otherwise (800 x 480). It actually compares well to a Nook Color, the Archos has a worse screen and build but has 720p codecs that the Nook doesn't have.

For under $100 its a pretty decent value.

Edit: I finally saw this is the resistive model. Ug. Terrible. I was 100% wrong. Those are ancient. I thought it was this:

At 85 dollars I could deal with it.
The shitty one bought a couple months ago for a hundred was much worse.

Its not worth 50 bucks, trust me. If it were small it would be a good portable player. But its too big and heavy to be good for anything.

Anyone know what kind of custom rom support is available for this thing. For $85 I'm half temped even if it's a complete bag of suck.
