But what is at issue here is how people think they have a right to kick somebody off of Anandtech because he's posting stuff that they don't like to read (note how Scipionix responded exactly 1 minute after the original post.... there's no way he could have read the post in that time, yet he still jumps in and calls him an idiot/troll/blah blah blah.) The tyranny of the majority around here is terribly strong... people just gang up and start bashing anyone who doesn't go with the party line.

I think that this was a good post with a good point.... even though it's obviously fake, I think that the idea of Arafat turning Bush's own words back around against him, showing what a hypocrite he is, is great.
 
You didnt get what czar wrote he wasnt backing up what KAMAZON said but rather made an intreging observation.

Actually, I did get what Czar wrote. In fact, I agree with what Czar wrote: the US is rather hypocritical in this area. The thing is, what Kamazon wrote is unsubstantiated rumor, and I was trying to point that out to Czar.

Hey sheep, didja hear that 5 of the alleged suspects of Sept. 11th were actually dead years ago, and 7 others are still alive and living in Saudia Arabia who are suing the FBI for STILL having their pictures up as the highjackers? LOL I like to laugh at the general population to see how truely insane some people are, it's rather fun. Now obviously if any of these 'counter intellegence expert' dolts who are so quick to criticize that this is fake IT'S OBVIOUS! THATS THE WHOLE POINT! They didn't even read the last paragraph where I even bring it up.

However through humor it does release a certain Irony, but you actually have to spend 3 minutes to read it all. I know it's hard for video game trained generation it's hard to do that tho.

As far as this thread goes, he posted something that was decidedly inflammatory, but he didn't start flaming anyone until he was flamed first.

I think that inflammatory statements are great, and I think that ATOT would be soul-less without them. People need to have spirited debate and good arguments. What, do we want to turn this forum into a great big love-fest where nobody disagrees with anybody, or any disagreement is so minor that it is essentially pointless? We all need to realize that there are many, many points of view in the world, some of them decidedly different from ours, and that to quash these viewpoints is to disregard someone else's value as a human being.

I know that just sounded like a bunch of lovey-dovey liberal bullsh!t, but I'm trying to appeal to a greater sense of right and wrong, and words are failing me, so it comes out like a bunch of drivel. So I'll just end with the quote from whoever it was, "I may disagree with what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it."

I actually thought the original post was relatively clever, in spite of the fact that KAMAZON is a nut and a troll. I viewed it more as comedy than anything - I do not myself regard President Bush's middle east policy as hypocritical - but it was not bad on its face.
 
Oh, by the way, I agree with bizmark. As stupid as KAMAZON can be, I dont think we should tell him to leave yet. Sure, he has been a little annoying (Ive seen him at HardForums for a while now), but he has a right to voice his opinion. So far it hasnt really been destructive.

Plenty of people disagree with me, and I accept that. However, I can only accept those that I can have an intelligent discussion with (Czar, Red Dawn, jjsole etc.). People who feel they must throw around baseless and completely untrue inflammatory statement just to get the attention they so desperately crave, do not belong in a place where normal people discuss things. Im not trying to get rid of him because he doesnt agree with me, or because I feel "overmatched" by him in any shape or form, just that all his posts are an attempt to bait normal thinking people into giving him and his LaRouchies the attention they feel they need.

Actually I didn't need to read the whole thing beacuse 90% of it was a ripoff. I also forgot that liberals are so self-righteous and thin-skinned that if anyone criticizes them, it's a violation of their First Amendment rights and "tyranny of the majority."
