Let me tell you about this stuff I make called "candied bacon":
Place bacon strips on a baking pan with parchment paper. Mix together 1/2 cup of dark brown sugar, 1/4 cup of hot water, and 1 tsp of vanilla in a bowl. Brush the bacon with the mixture and place it in a 325F pre-heated oven for 20 minutes. Baste every 5 minutes or so. Continue cooking until the bacon is desired crispiness.
If you want to get adventurous, I've seen beer substituted for water in the baste. You ain't had a turkey sandwich until you've had a candied bacon turkey sandwich
