edit: If you mean at the end of the trilogy then both hence ROTK. But right now he is diddly squat because he hasn't stepped up to the plate.

i don't think he has jurisdiction over anythnig in FOTR and TTT.

The leader of Rohan is a king in his own right, but the leader of Gondor is the Steward. Aragorn is the rightful king of Gondor, IIRC

Aragorn is the rightful king of both Gondor and Arnor (the northern lands, including the shire). iirc, he's the direct descendant of the kings of the northlands, and sole living relative of the kings of Gondor (They were wiped out in a plauge or somethin). Yeah, I read the books.

Mordor was turned over to the large numbers of slaves that Sauron held, I think...

Aragorn's "kingdom" covers Gondor, and virtually everything but Rohan in the northwest of Middle Earth, since Gondor gave Rohan those lands when Eorl and his people came down from the North to help Gondor fight a war they were getting their ass kicked in. Gondor said thanks by giving them where Rohan is now, because people weren't living there to begin with. Aragorn is king of the Shire and all of th elands west of the nisty mountains.
