His sexual habits were quite well-documented. He had loads of unprotected homosexual activity.

That would be an interesting and strange twist...where were these sexual habits documented? I've never even heard anything about him being homosexual.

Oh no.....

Chief Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat said Palestinian leaders "will stick to our basic law," but called on the United States to help the Palestinians conduct elections under a 1996 agreement with Israel.
"There will be an opening for peace when leadership of the Palestinian people steps forward and says, 'Help us build a democratic and free society,'" Bush told reporters at the White House.

I wonder how Bush is going to deal with this. Only a week after the election. Might not be good...

For those of you who were harping on North Korea, this is a pretty good website on a visit to North Korea.

As for Arafat, I don't have really anything to say, maybe things can finally move forward in that region.

Why does everyone think that this is good news? With Islamic radicals gaining popularity in the middle east and with Arafat the only leader the country has known, do you actually think their won't be chaos for a power grab?

Right, because I'm the one who is so blinded by my faith that I condone stoning children.

No, you're blinded by hate to see that the punishment of stoning is by a person who commits adultery willingly and is found guilty of such. Children dont commit adultery.

If you found your son (say... 8 years old) having sex with a 14 year old female, what would you do?

I'd probably congratulate him and call the Guiness Book of World Records for the prize of youngest shagger ever.

if any of you follow fark.com, the headline chronology of this subject was the best:

Enters coma, not dead, still kicking, deathly ill/not deathly ill/in a coma/not in a coma/dead/not dead/brain dead/not brain dead/awake and communicating/dead, dead and should be alive in the afternoon, playing Halo 2, Schrodinger's Cat, equipment will not be switched off, opposite of whatever last update said, DEAD.

I wonder if you can figure out an exact number of how many people died as a result of his asshattery

But didn't you say if you found your child fornicating, you would stone them or lash them 100 times?

While I don't think Arafat is a hero, he is doing what anyone in his position "suppose" to do: inflict as much damage to your opponent for the cause of your people.

You have to see where he come from: his father died during the fight with Israel, he grew up in a suppressed Palestine, and his people are the only people in the world that is still "colonized" as second class citizen. In those days at those places, if you think a million man march like the one in US will "un-slave" the people, you got to be a freaking nut. There is no way Israel will let them get a fair share of rights or humanity just because they b1tch about it on the street.

The same goes for Sharon, you think he has the choice? think again because if he is as soft as Rabin he will get assasinated too. It is a tragety that people in a war torn place grew up into these "warlords, terriosts, dictators, etc".

If sultan immigrated to America, and he wanted to stone his wife to death for adultery, and she said ?yes, it?s ok, I deserve it? then shouldn?t we let those two, consenting adults, in the privacy of there own home, do what they want?
Fundie Islam is pro choice?

No, I said that a person found GUILTY of fornication would be punished, and the punishment is 100 lashes.

Arafat was a monster who murdered thousands of innocent people.

The world is better off that he's gone.

yes I agree with you.
One piece of good news to hear actually,
And for all his sins, I think he already had a very long life. But to die in Paris is a waste of money

You hear very little about Arafats hoarding of the peoples money. The palestinians themselves seem to know nothing about it. Arafats their hero, yet he stole all of the money that was supposed to help them get out of poverty. Just another example of a dictator who keeps his people poor and blames others while he keeps all of the money for himself.

The amazing thing is the royal treatment given to this terrorist by the UN and Europe. This man was a thug, who used his evil to gain power among a people looking for a savior.
Come to think of it, this is very simular to what I have read about Mohammed, and the beginning of Islam. It is a shame that a whole group of people (the Palistinians - Muslim) function only in hate. (I know that many do not - but the many that do - make far more noise and destruction than those that don't)

Nature gets the job done even when geopolitical-military powers can't. Only a matter of time for Bin Laden.

Any conclusion as to his cause of death?

He was in a hospital in France. How would they know?

If you walked in on him, he's guilty, is he not?

Ahh screw it, I'm not going to waste my time on you.

He was actually dead, before he was alive.

can arafat stop flip flopping between life and death?

How are the people here wishing death on a human being any better than those who celebrated 9/11?

On 9/11 there were people (including your buddy, Arafat) who truly celebrated the loss of innocents.

Here, we are "celebrating" the death of someone who was one of the biggest terrorists in the modern area.

It really isn't that hard to figure out...

and those in the Middle East think of Americans as the biggest terrorist of all  so you're better than them how...?

Yes, I am!

You know why?

Because unlike them, I NEVER celebrate the loss of innocent people, in any case there is; that is the big difference...

Well, they didnt think the lives lost in 9/11 were "innocent". On the other hand, many not only think Arafat is an innocent person, but hold him in very, very high regard in Palestine. Again, your point is moot. You're not showing you have better morals or character.

Your a piece of work. The people in the WTC were not gun weilding soldiers of death. Fuc#tard.
