Dunno, I don't exactly consider myself an expert on Arabic music or anything, but all that I've heard so far (from acquaintances) has not been my cop of tea at all. Oh well, to each his own

I just listen to it for the hell of it and since I lived in the mid east I like some of the music. Some songs are real good.

Cheb Mami is more French/Arabic and the genre is Riva or Ria. I don't remember exactly. The song I was listening to is called Hisham Abaas- Elil Klam Elil
