When I was in college and had an apartment with room mates (3 bedroom apartment, 2 room mates) ... we had no couch.

We had 3 recliners in the living room all pointed towards the TV.

Right now, me and my roommate (2 bedroom) just have two sleeping bags in the living room, more than comfortable enough for watching TV. Probably gonna get an el-cheapo $2-300 couch soon though.

Oh man, Papsans are the comfiest things ever. I currently have 2 couches, even if none of us use the living room, it's great for when guests come over and it makes the place look less ... empty.

i have been on my own for over a year now. my first apartment was a giant studio, like 500 sq feet. i had a bed, night stand, clothe rack, table and chair...

currently, i share an apartment with another guy, my room is 16x10 and has everything i own, including a 50inch tv which i have to sit on my bed to watch because it is so huge.

we have a living room, but neither of use it other than to store stuff.

I have a La-Z-Boy couch with a queen size fold out bed. I keep my computer and HDTV right in front of it so I can use it for whatever.

Not have a couch. Ha.

PS. this is my third couch since I moved out a few years ago. I've had roommates wreck the other ones.

I must admit I usually work at night instead of watching tv but I guess it would be nice to have a couch to lay in when I'm tired of just want to be alone.

I usually do this in my bed but I'm starting to think I want the bedroom to be just for sleeping.

is that one of those Poang chairs? I got two of those for ~free off of CL. comfortable, but the crossbar digs into your back after a while.

but I'm confused, is there a question in your post? go with a futon. solves everything in one convenient little package.

My parents don't have a couch in their house. Two recliners and a wood chair of some sort.

In a house only that?

Well not including the computer chair and kitchen chairs...yep. No couch or love seat. There are 4 places to sit in their living room. Two recliners, the wooden chair (padded) and the computer chair.
