Keep in mind this is when Best Buy is launching the phone. VZW stores could have it before this date or well after this date, we don't know that yet.

I would think while it's possible Verizon stores could get it earlier than Best Buy, that it's highly unlikely BB would have it before VZW. But whatever happens, my wife and I can't wait!

It has happened several times where BB had it before any VZW stores. The Devour would be one example. Anyway, I'm still waiting (not so patiently anymore) for this phone to finally drop. I think they made a huge mistake by not even mentioning it at CTIA, and I think this late-April release date is a little late to the party.

I wish they'd just put the damn phone out already. Can't wait to pick one of these up.

Agreed.
My Droid is getting long in the tooth a.k.a I'm sick of the form factor and I personally hate the keyboard.

I'm seeing 25th for Verizon stores and 29th for Bestbuy.

The Incredible looks like an awesome phone, just wish it had a real keyboard. :(
Touch screen only is a deal breaker for me.

yeah read the manual. I'm excited. the rumors of having 8gigs though was off.

No, it does have 8GB of internal (non-removable) storage. This is confirmed.

Latest theory out has the Incredible in Verizon stores either next Monday (April 19) or May 13. The Best Buy release on the 29th of this month still looks to be true.

Send it to me. pl0x.
:D

Actually, I was just going to have it laying around after I got the Incredible because for some dumb reason I think it's too dinged up to sell. The screen is flawless (yay gorilla glass) but there's a few knicks around the bezel.

I'm thinking someone would still buy it huh?

Looks like there's been a few more leaks, this time with upcoming Incredible accessories.

http://phandroid.com/2010/04/11/htc-incredible-accessories-pictures-prices-leak/

I'm particular interested in the extended battery which is a 2150 mAh vs the stock 1300 mAh. $60 though... hmmm :hmm:

$60 is decent for an extended battery. Not cheap, but atleast they aren't price gouging like these companies usually do. I'm going to wait and see how it lasts with the stock battery before I spend the money for the extended battery and new backplate.

Other than perhaps some google-badging, can someone tell me what the difference is between the Incredible and the Nexus One? I can't imagine Verizon selling these both at the same time

Both made by HTC, have 3.7" screens, have 512 of ROM, both Snapdragon 1 GHz, 5 MP camera w/LED flash, Android 2.1 w/ Sense UI. They look pretty much identical. I think the Nexus One has 512MB of RAM compared to 256 of the Incredible. Is that it?

The rumored specs is that the Incredible has 512 MB RAM as well as a 8 MP camera (compared to the Nexus One's 5 MP). The Nexus One doesn't have the Sense UI, either.

Here's what will likely be the full specs for the Incredible: http://www.boygeniusreport.com/2010/04/13/htc-incredible-specs/

Gotcha, apparently it was "old" (February) info that said the Incredible only had a 5 MP camera. Also it appears debatable if the Verizon N1 will or will not get Sense UI.

Even if it doesn't, these still seem to be way too similar to be selling side-by-side...

I like it, but even though there are minor issues with the Droid keyboard, I still love my Droid.

That, and I'm on contract for 1 more year at this point.
Normally if a phone was super awesome, way more awesome than my current phone, I'd pay the no-contract MSRP. The Droid works for me though.

That, and I basically had it set in my mind anyhow that I'm just going to keep my Droid until Verizon has an LTE phone. WinMo 7 or Android, that decision will be made then. I love Android, but if a WinMo 7 LTE phone is released and has incredible battery life, it could be a replacement for two devices. Zune is awesome, so a Zune+Phone would be more awesome, if it could last the whole day doing both music and all my smartphone stuff.
Of course, that really, really depends on the Windows Phone 7 market support.

I can't really complain about carrying both my ZuneHD and a beyond-awesome, "does everything I could ever want and more" smartphone.
