I remember DISTINCTLY. It was 9/8/09 and I was heading to a show but desperate for food - I saw a Subway and ordered a meatball sub thinking "how could they possibly muck this up". They gave me a meatball sub with full veggies, ie lettuce, bell pepper, etc. I basically ate the meatballs out of the sandwich and threw the rest away.

Maybe you saw the news... in my town (Berkeley, CA) the city council is on the cusp (they may have done it last night) of adding a $0.25 charge when you get take-out at any shop in town. They figure it will cut down on the litter problem. I think they are daft. It will have zero effect other than taking a quarter out of the customer's pocket and putting it in someone else's pocket, I don't know who. They will do this even if your take out container is recyclable cardboard, they don't care.

I do not know if that idea is liberalism run amok or some savvy govt employees figuring out how to game the system but either way, someone needs to stop them. I'll bet you can beat one of these tools next cycle and give the folks their quarter back. "MUSE WORKS FOR YOUS 2018".

Yeah a large is too much for me, I just add chips to my regular when I'm really hungry.

Pretty tasty but I do still prefer the 13, mostly because of what the pepperoni adds. They made this one extra slutty, which was nice.

This is good for America and the world. The less crappy sandwich places there are on the planet, the better off humanity will be.

Well in our supposedly booming economy one would expect for fast food stores to remain stable but this is not the case with Subway. Now they do have a 44k strong global presence, however, these stores are all in NA.

The company has been slowly shrinking the Subway brand since 2016 so this is not a healthy trend for them. Do you suppose that their product portfolio is not keeping pace with customer expectations and customers are turning to their other brands?

Subway is overpriced for what they deliver. I used to eat there until about 4-5 years ago. There are better options out there for the money.

I completely understand and stopped eating there myself over a decade ago because there were so many other choices. I've heard people complain of poor service in recent years but with high turnover rates this could be cyclical.
