Apps for Itouch?

I picked up my 16gig 2G Itouch yesterday and I was wondering what some of the must have applications I should down load for it?

Someone mentioned Handbrake so I could take my movie DVD's and shrink them down to play on the touch. Others?

Remote - Control iTunes on your comp remotely
AIM - Get on AIM obviously... or you could use IM+ which lets you get on MSN and crap.

Any other apps? Someone in another topic mentioned Handbrake to rip my DVD's to format them to fit on my Ipod Touch.

I'm surprised that my Touch didn't come with any games. Even Ipod Nano's have a game or two.

is there a way to create an itunes account without giving credit card info ? I only want the free apps.. or is there a way to install apps without going through the app store ?

Use QuickPWN to jailbreak your touch, then use the Cydia/Installer apps that it puts on there to grab whatever you like. They don't have the same stuff as the Apple store, but lots of neat programs anyway.

Pandora works on the iTouch as well as the iPhone. That gives you customized radio using any wireless network.

just got a free ipod 1st gen for free, i have verizon so i'm pretty much going to use this like an itouch but with the camera function. yesterday, i used quickpwn to jailbreak as well as unlock my iphone and was wondering if i can still download apps from itunes w/o having them know that the phone is ulocked?

yeah....find one of the zillion free codes online and redeem it in itunes. it wont ask for your cc then.
