By what age do you think a guy should have gotten over this fear?
I feel like I'm in high school again... I'm 20 years old... not a teenager anymore. I'm ashamed of myself

never had a problem with it forunately. i just go up and usually say something like "what's your name because i think i know you" or something and go from there.

Find an activity, volunteer organization, or something in general to get involved in. You'll just naturally have to talk to people so it will be a good experience for you. Pick something you like and you'll be doing two things at once.

The key is to recognize this approach anxiety or fear when it occurs

Then tell yourself how money you are and that this girl will be thrilled that you are talking to her and that any notion otherwise is just nonsense.

that's true... it is fun but it would be a shame to not take it a step further

I felt like I was in one of those drama movies... everything that is happening to me is similar to a boy chasing a girl in one of those movies

i agree with this. i am usually a little nervous (VERY LITTLE MIND YOU), but not to the point where i call it "fear". its always nice breaking the ice for the first time. from there it's pie.

Your so money man you dont need to chase them. Just offer them a glimpse of your personality and they will do the rest! Come on brotha they got all dressed up, taking hours to make sure they would be hot for you tonight. So nows the time man go show them how money you are. Even if you get shot down you can't lose. One less approach until your laid. Your sooooooo money.

Learn to not care. If you realize that the outcome of talking to someone isn't a big deal, particularly since you don't even know her yet, then you'll lose the anxiety.

If you just start talking to everyone you meet wether you want them or not, good looking or fugly, male or female, you will overcome your fears.
