Applying HeatSpreader question

Im getting the samsung pc2700 & a thermlatake heat spreader. the samsung has a big sticker on it (seen on newegg.com). my question is should I remove that sticker before applying the heatspreader?

thanks in advance,

-jonathan lam

Yes, it should be clean and bare memory chips mating with the spreaders. Removing the label usually voids a warranty, JFYI.

The sticker prolly should be removed but I see no sense in adding these except for Cosmetic purposes...Why ruin Lifetime warranty's ?
