Applications won't run

What is the deal with profiles on win2k. Lots of applications require administrator rights to be installed, but when I logon as a standard user, I can't run them. Forte's Agent gives me an error, so does NHL 2001 and ASUS's MB probe runs but doesn't display any information in the window.

I haven't found any information in the registry regarding these programs under the admin profile. Can programs copy files that are owned by the administrator and other users don't have access to them?

How can I run the apps from other profiles?

Win NT/2000 is designed in a way that all apps you install on a profile remains exclusive only for that profile. Unless of course you log in as an administrator and make sure you have full control in the permissions option.
