Application on Android that would find previously installed apps from prior rom?

If not an application, where are Android games/apps files normally located in the file system? Thanks.

You mean a list of apps you've used before?
Play store -> my apps -> all

Otherwise titanium backup does the job quite well.

Also astro file manager allows you to easily create a backup of all the apps apk files in a folder and to restore from there as well.

Titanium Backup will pull an apk & or data from a nandroid backup.

If you didn't wipe the /data partition, the apps should still be there. If you wiped /data, those apps are gone. Anything in /system would have been replaced when you updated the ROM.

If this a problem you have often, you should look into Titanium Backup.
