Appliance Dealers on Craigslist

So I found one guy who seems to have a washer for cheap and ours just broke.

I just wonder, are these people good, he has a warehouse that I can visit, but I just wonder if they were refurbished machines, and they fixed them. I like the prices, but would probably rather spend the money on an actual new one. The warranty seems to be from them, not from the factory and it's only 6 months.

In the last 20 years, all of my appliance purchases have been used/refurbished. The quality and value of used appliances is very good as long as you do your research before hand. The vast majority of appliances found in used/refurbished shops is there because it stopped working and the owners assumed it either could not be fixed or, would cost too much to be fixed.

I have noticed the youts of America (current generation) seem to have something against buying used anything preferring to spend a premium just to get something new.

I'm 20 and buy all my appliances used.

For the most part, I agree with Magnus. However, younger-ish folks like FDF12389 and myself save tons on other people's laziness of desire to have the best of everything.

I work for a major appliance store. We haul away customer's old units for $19 apiece when they get something new delivered. Employees in the know have the option to buy said old units for $19.

Two summers ago I got my mom a lightly-used, couple-year-old set of Neptune front-loaders for $38 because the original owner didn't want them anymore. Because the seal had some mildew on it, which washed off with some bleach and a rag.😀

i'm a yout and i buy nearly everything used. kind of retarded to buy something that loses 20% in value as soon as you buy it.

You can also check out scratch and ding stores...got me a stainless steel LG fridge for $300...originally was like $850...sold for $300 because of a little ding on the SIDE of the fridge...can't even see it!
