I'm guessing they won't go for the "So good, they almost got me killed" theme.

No, but Beats might run with it. I mean, they already have ones for NFL players. Why not soldiers as well? The entire "hear what you wanna hear" thing would look pretty good with a solider rolling through Baghdad in a tank, blasting some Slayer or something.

What does owner a product of a company have to do with being a fanboi? I own an AMD video card, does that make me an AMD fanboi? I own an iPhone and an accompanying rMBP for development for it. Am I an Apple fanboi?

I understand that this is the Internet and that English may not be your first language. So I'll try to explain it again for your sake:

My co-worker is a fanboi. See, what I did here is identify whom I am calling a fanboi. I didn't say Bose users or Apple users, I said my co-worker. Just for reference, In the United States of America, in which I reside, a co-worker is someone that you work with.

Now, since my co-worker (again, this is someone you work with, not a fucktard on the Internet) is such a fanboi, it got me to wondering if users of one name brand product were drawn to another name brand product. That's called curiousity:
cu·ri·os·i·ty (kyo͝or′ē-ŏs′ĭ-t&#275😉
n. pl. cu·ri·os·i·ties
1. A desire to know or learn.
2. A desire to know about people or things that do not concern one; nosiness.
3. An object that arouses interest, as by being novel or extraordinary: kept the carved bone and displayed it as a curiosity.

So based on this curiosity I thought I'd pose a question on an Internet forum (you are on such a forum right now) so I could get responses from many different people. I'd pose this question in the form of a "poll" so I could quantify any results. I would then look at those results to satisfy my curiosity.

I hope this clears it up for you. If not, please let me know which concept you don't grasp and I will engage in further intercourse with you. Or your mom.

The concept I find hard to grasp is:
Just checking/curious. My co-worker is a serious Apple and Bose fanboi. It got me to wondering if it's just him or not.
You identity your co-worker as someone who is both an Apple and Bose fanboi. You then create a thread, with the later state intention of determining who is and who isn't a fanboi of either, possibly both, products. However, you only give a choice of which do you own, not which you are a fanboi, or even fan, of. You then clarify you intentions of determining who is and who is not a fanboi with a rudimentary poll only given light as to who owns one, both, or none of the companies products.

If you wish to clarify that your intentions were not go to by the poll, just that was an elaborate ruse to lure the fanbios in to argue with the nonbelievers, I'll concede. However, I find this unlikely.

And, if you wish to engage in further intercourse with me, you will have to pay the entree fee same as the rest.

Lots of Apple stuff but no Bose stuff. I have a proper home theater system and don't use headphones much at all.

I'd love to have a Bose 5.1 system, my only real complaint is the price. My buddy has one & it's awesome. I just got the Monoprice Energy Take Classic knockoff set; I'm curious as to how it compares. Might have to do a shootout 😀

Again, my co-worker is the only one I called a fanboi. The purpose of the poll is to see if it's only him or a trend. Looking at the poll results, it's obviously only him.

The poll does not discern if anyone is or isn't a fanboi. Merely if they owner certain products.

I feel you OP. My family loves Apple, and they love to plug their iDevices into Bose docks.

I will admit, after having to hear how awesome those overpriced docks where I was pretty pleased when Apple changed the cable connector and now each one of those elegant docks has an adaptor. Except my FiL, he will run his 4GS into the ground before he soils that dock!
