Cheerios Aren't A Drug, FDA Says

WASHINGTON -- Federal regulators have scolded the maker of Cheerios, saying the company made inappropriate claims about the popular cereal's ability to lower cholesterol and treat heart disease.

The Food and Drug Administration said in a warning letter to General Mills that language on the Cheerios box suggests the cereal is designed to prevent or treat heart disease by lowering cholesterol. Regulators said that only FDA-approved drugs are allowed to make such claims.

Apple Jacks for sure. How is this even a question? The Apple Cinnamon Cheerios are just a lame attempt by some Grandpa in the Cheerios marketing department to try and attract younger cereal eaters. Well guess what fool, we're not buying what you're selling!! Get tha shit out of here.

I had the unfortunate experience of eating a bowl of Apple Jacks for breakfast the morning a bad case of food poisoning took hold of my digestive system. Needless to say, I am ruined on any type of apple flavored cereal forever.

Man I haven't had Apple Jacks in like 15 years. I was always more of a Cinnamon Toast Crunch guy though. Now if I ever do eat cereal it is usually Honey Bunches of Oats.
