It's pretty slick, dunno about you-all's Apple Store experiences, but it's a PITA to actually purchase something, if you click on the new iPad display for help, a CSR comes to you for the sale or to answer questions.

A larger part of the stores are now dedicated to post sale set up.

I still want my Apple watch, even emailed Jobs about it 😀

I this this a lot. I too loved the stores but it was a pain to get anyone to help you. If this eliminates that then great!

Really? I've never had any problem getting help in that store. At least 2-3 people ask to assist me when I go.

Mine is busy and you always have to get the greeter to (if they aren't busy answering questions mind you) put you on a list. Now I can just send the request via ipad when I'm ready.

At the two stores I go to, you cannot stand still for more than a couple seconds before someone asks you if you need help. Of course, it is better than the alternative, but it can get annoying.
