Assuming this is true, the only thing anyone will be able to guess correctly is that no one will be able to guess correctly what is going on.

How about just waiting until it happens?

Frankly I'm amazed in this day & age that more leaks don't happen. At best, we get some Mr. Blurrycam photos of prototypes shortly before the actual release. Given the abundance of high-performance cell phone cameras (8 megapixels? 720p HD video?) you'd think we'd know a lot more, especially since the supply chain is so big and so worldwide.

I hope it's an iterative upgrade to an existing product line. That way I can go there and wait in line for 9 hours.

If you are part of the supply chin in China and you leak, you lose your relatively high-paying job (and possibly your life, who knows?).

If you are part of the supply chain in the U.S. and you leak, you lose your high-paying job and possibly get blackballed in the industry.

The cost simply outweighs the benefit of being a leaker, as it should be.

On a marginally related note, how come we do not have any HD (or even crappy mobile phone) pix or video of alien ships yet? Did they stop visiting once we got better and more widespread cameras?

Probably iCloud, but I hope MBA since the wife wants one for grad school this summer and I'd rather wait for the upgrade and either get the new version or get the old version at a discount.

as a company employee why would you leak an upcoming product to the internet? only thing it can do it hurt the company's revenue

Apple owns those too. Where do you think they get all their fancy technology from

iCloud would be nice... I could see it being Apple TV 3.0.. Could use a Dual Core A5, and full 1080P support. Not worthy of a press event, but a store launch with a bigger push might make some sense. Taking it out of the 'hobby' category maybe?

Too early for a refresh of Apple TV.

what's the point of 1080p on apple TV if all the media is compressed to the point where it will still look like crap?

iPads are much better for school. Unless you do a lot of typing.

An iPad can function like a book. Unintrusive in class. It also acts AS books. I have 5x interactive textbooks on mine, and anything that can be made into PDF can be an eBook.

I'm in Graduate School and laptops are useless. If I'm typing something extensive like a paper, it definitely ain't happening while I'm unplugged.

Thanks, but not in her case. In general I would find an iPad useless for school uses but I suppose it depends what you are doing. I was an engineering major and unless they have MATLAB for iPad it wouldn't be much help :)

She would use it to take notes, but there are also a few music and music database programs that she needs to run for her classes that won't work on an iPad.

Yea, Laptops may be helpful for technical classes - but hardly necessary for them either.

MBA rev2 w/ 3G or 4G would be killer with iCloud. Everything you need in the cloud, accessible from a typeable interface with good battery life.

It's a Masters of Kodaly Music Education. Part of what they do is analyze music and then put it into a database so it can be retrieved later by searching for various features, lessons, concepts, etc within a given song. So one of the 'deliverables' when she's done the program is this database she's built over the course of study.

I don't really see how this makes any sense. I had classes in college where we spent weeks on end writing MATLAB code so in that case it was very necessary.

This isn't anti-iPad; I have an iPad and love it for what I use it for which is web browsing, watching media, and gaming. But it isn't a laptop replacement in a majority of cases.
