Apple + Intel = Overclocking?

You can overclock the G5, but you actually have to physically solder parts of the actual processor. I'm curious if overclocking will play a part in Apple's next systems...

Irrelevant. The Presshot macs are just to throw people off and give developers something to work with without revealing what the production macs WILL use.

Since Intel's 64-bit CPU lines will be dead by the time the macs arrive, and Apple would have a hard time pushing an "upgrade" from a 64 bit G5 to a 32-bit Pentium M, the macs will use AMD.

Wow....

Yonah, Meram?

Both will have EMT-64, both will be dual core, both will be incredibly high IPC, both will be cool.

There is no speculation at all from the professional world that mac is even looking at AMD as a solution. The 2006 timetable also indicates that mac is waiting for Meram.

The samples of Yonah so far do not have EM64T.

thats because it is designed for laptops .. and the extra transistor count will produce to much heat and require more volts for operation ..

Yeah, the others are correct, yonah does not have EM64T. Merom should, but it's specs are pretty much unknown still.
