apple hardware (specifically laptops) at Circuit City B&M

Circuit City started a $100 MIR on all notebook computers good from 02/10/02 to 02/16/02

If you can find some open box laptops (that CC hasn't sold since them and Apple are breaking away it seems), haggle them, then mail in the rebate, you should make out well.

I got a G3 500 CDROM 128MB iBook (icebook) for $899 (talked down from $949) and the $100 MIR to send off.

Was a good deal for me, but then again I like Apple computers 😉

V nice 🙂

Would you mind posting more specs in the iBook. There are a 2 main models the 12.1 and the 14.1 with different HDD and CDRW sizes.

I'm guessing no Airport card was included.

mine was the 12" 500MHz G3 with CDROM, 128MB RAM, no airport card, 15GB HD.

All iBooks have 1 Firewire, modem, 10/100 ethernet, 2 usb, monitor/ a/v output, stereo headphone jack.

iMac and iBooks near Atlanta:

Just picked up an iMac G3/500 CD-RW for $509.00 in Augusta, GA. Thanks!

As of 4/8 Anderson, SC had one iMac:

Blue G3/500 CD, 64mb, 15G HD at $459.00.
Look up store location on Circuit City site and ask for Taft.

As of 4/8 Rome, GA had 2 iBooks:

G3/500 (66mhz bus) $999.00
G3/600 (100mhz bus) $1299.00

Also, check with Augusta, GA to see if they still have an iBook. The gentleman I spoke to on 4/5 quoted me $999.00 and said there was a $100 rebate with it, though I thought the rebates expired in February.

I would love to get an iBook for $900 after MIR, problem is I don't need another computer.

Although it would be a good replacement for my aging iMac (rev. B/G3/233/96/4/CD), hmmn.
