You know, if someone came out with a imitation G4 for the PC. I have no doubt it would be a top seller if not the best seller.

I still can't get over the elegance of that pull down latch. It's a work of art.

that case is NICE.

as for actual G4 cases, i know there's a way to mod them for PC's but the problem is finding them. i've searched on e-bay and they go for in between $200 and $300 !!! for JUST THE CASE. there are some deep pocket modders out there.

It looks good, though not as good as if the Mac people were to build a case for the PC. $165 at Directron.com. Ouch! Apparently the outer case is exactly the same as the Mac which makes it so expensive. Still, I am tempted to buy. Can anyone confirm that the latch mechanism works like the G4? Also does it have a sliding motherboard?

Looked on the web and found the following:
- case is made by Atech Flash, www.atechflash.com
- www.ocsystem.com has it for $139. www.outlook.com has it for $179.
- no sliding motherboard.
- latch looks like the Macs but only pulls out the side panel, not the dropdown side panel that the G4 has.

At $139 plus $17 shipping, I might give it a try. Anyone else buy it yet?

aside from the limited expansion for optical drives and hard drives, the g4 case is...probably the best ever made. I love my lian-li case but my G4's is oodles better. You can't beat the dropdown side with everything completely accessible, and no wires or ribbons to worry about.
