Apple will reportedly launch a new Apple TV and a mystery accessory alongside the iPad 3, according to 9to5Mac sources.
To me, holding up a 10inch slab of metal an glass in front of my face to take a picture doesn't sound appealing. Everyone wanted a rear facing camera on iPad 2, but how many regularly use it?It's a week away, but I can already feel the impact to my wallet...
I hope they don't announce an 8MP camera on that thing, or my sanity would go along with my money!

At this stage in the tablet market, it seems like a dual core with better single threaded performance would be preferable to a quad core which very few if any apps can currently take advantage of.
This is true, but perhaps a bit short-sighted. A quad-core tablet is SIGNIFICANTLY more future-proof than a dual core one, even if it was clocked faster.
The reality is, there's not a ton more they can do with these things. They'll get lighter and thinner and faster, but at the core, they're still going to be slates with a screen (already high enough rez) and a processor (quad core will last awhile).
So, sure, Apple will find a way to obsolete the iPad 3 soon enough, but if it is quad core, it'll do just about everything people will want it to do for a long while.
Which, coincidentally, is why I think it might be dual core. I think between dual core, LTE and retina, we'll only get 2. Because if not, what would they add next year?
Wallet is always ready lol.
New Apple TV is supposed to be announced together with the iPad3. I don't know which I'm more excited about. Should be awesome.
Hm... the possible lack of a home button is interesting. I'm not sure what I think of it though. They could always go the TouchPad route and use a thinner button, right?
Notice the gap between the icons in picture I posted above. It looks like it's in portrait mode.
You mean landscape mode, right? That makes sense... I mean, my iPad is almost always locked in landscape.
