i don't know, now that microsoft owns a huge chunk of apple, and they're featuring a product designed to help promote one of the most evil corporate organizations in the nation, the 1984 ad doesn't have quite the same ring.
Sine when does Microsoft own a huge part of Apple? For some reason this doesn't seem right to me.

Gates and MS bailed out Apple by purchasing $250,000,000 worth of non voting shares in the mid 1990s. In exchange Apple put IE on the Mac. MS does not currently own the Apple stock. Who would, they bought it on the cheap, and sold it at large profits.

That's cool. Anyone got the MOV? They did something to make it not appear in my Temporary Internet Files folder.

Hey, thanks! Now I have a 1.45 kilobyte MOV file! I'm so sure that'll work when I try to watch it on my laptop without internet access! Man, it sure is amazing how Apple managed to cram all that video into 1.45 kilobytes! The DivX people should ask them for help with compression!

(Okay, probably too much sarcasm... thanks for the effort anyway 😛)

EDIT: Link trimmed.

First, Mircorosft only invested $150 million. And Apple still had like $800 million in cash at the time, so they didn't need Microsoft's pittance.

Yeah, you're right, I just looked through google, and found an actual answer other than the joke's about it.

Hmmm I right-clicked on the embedded quicktime player and chose "save as source" (movie must be completely loaded first) and now I have a 13mb quicktime mov.

You must have Quicktime Pro then (basically cracked the free player). Perhaps I'm wrong but that's the only way I know of saving QT movies which do not appear in the IE cache folder.
So hjo3.. well you get the idea. You hit certain sites, find certain chars, and from there on it's self-explanatory 🙂.
