Apple confirms September 10th iPhone event

I am interested in:

1. iPad Mini with Retina
2. 13" Macbook Air with Retina
3. iPhone with no purple lens flare

2. 13" Macbook Air with Retina
That would be a MacBook Pro.

Do not want :|

I have a monster Sager for a Hackintosh laptop, so I don't need the extra power - I'd prefer something as thin & lightweight as possible for doing non-power-user activities. I played around with both and I definitely like the Air better, I just don't like the screen at all

Yeah, tru-dat. However, I personally like to see the 13" Pro get lighter, with better battery life (even if it means a lower speed CPU option).

However, I'm not expecting any Pro updates until October.

Too bad the Air's screen sucks so bad. It's not going to get updated either, since it was recently updated.

Referring to the new iPhone colors. I just want some groundbreaking features. Phones haven't changed much since the iPhone 4 in 2010.
iPhone colours or iOS 7 colour palette?

Is there going to be a purple iPhone 5C? I haven't seen mention of a purple one yet, but I might just have missed it. Or maybe the rumour sites missed it too.

Especially for the price difference. And even though the weight difference isn't huge, it does make a difference just grabbing it & picking it up, so I definitely like that. Just something for running Chrome, The Hit List, etc.

Hmm that means I better list my iPhone and iPad trade-ins before the event in case I want to maximize my profits... or losses! However you want to look at it. 😛

They're probably going to have all of these colors:

This event will be specifically about the 5S and 5c iPhone releases. And probably more in iOS 7. Will not touch on the new iPad mini or anything else.

Also - prediction that I'm surprised nobody else has thought about enough to make note of:

The two colors that are leaking as new colors will be the two new color choices of the 5S. Everything I read suggests that Apple will release the 5S in black, white, and gold as well as possibly graphite. 4 color choices.

I believe that the graphite is the new black and the gold is the new white, instead of having solid black as the black one, or white with the silver back as the white 5 had. Still only two color choices but those colors being the newer colors.

I'm interested to see what the 5C ends up being internally and price point. Also want iOS 7 and Mavericks.

I can't see them doing away with plain white.

What do you guys think - $199 model with 32gb base, or are they still gonna sell us 16gb for $199 with no SD option?

I wouldn't hold my breath for the SD option 🙂

Yeah no kidding. I've been looking at the Xperia Z for my next phone. Getting to the point where I want something more customizable without having to jailbreak. Though I'm interested to see what Apple is coming up with.

I don't think the 5S is going to be all that different from the 5. "S" models are just speed bumps. Curious that nobody's talked about the iPad 5 at all. It's been a year since the 4 came out.

$199? I guess you mean subsidized. Hard to compare pricing with subsidized pricing, since carriers may have different deals, esp. in different countries.

that's the only price I care about 😉

At least half the people I know have switched to Samsung Galaxy phones...it will be interesting if Apple doesn't boost the screen size (based on leaks). Camera & screens are amazing on the S4 (and S3!), plus the huge size is awesome. Downside is Android :awe:

Actually, one of the main reasons I'm switching back from Android to go iOS is because I dislike those giant Android phones, but it's hard to get a flagship phone unless it's 4.7" or bigger.

Personally I think the best size for me is probably around 4.0" to 4.3", for a 16:9 phone that is.

The closest 4.7" phone I've come across so far is the Moto X because it has a much smaller bezel, but it's still quite big, at 65 mm wide.

Anyone else find it interesting that Google released info about the newest Android OS, named it after a candy bar, and leaked pics of the new nexus phone today too?

The Galaxy is my least favorite Android phone. I don't get the appeal at all.

It would be nice if they made a 4.5" 1080p iPhone that looked like the Xperia Z.

And I don't get why they made the iPhone 5 so tall. The 4 and 4S have the front-facing camera next to the speaker instead of on top of it.

Cmon Apple give me 5inches retina with revolutionary features. I have two upgrades waiting.

Some people like the size of premium android phones, but I'm with you. I hate it. I can see the argument for it - nobody uses voice, bigger screen is better for texting/web browsing. I can buy that. But at the same time, I use my phone as a music player when I lift weights and go jogging. I also use my iphone in my car for music on occassion. I don't really care to carry a hulking 6 inch phone around while working out, especially since it doesn't fit in my upper arm band (while the iphone does). The iPhone works perfect for me.
