Apple comemrcial has me confused

So if I understand this commercial correctly (and I'm pretty sure I do), editing my home videos of supermodel Gisele Bundchen (of which I have many) on a PC will make her look like a dirty transvestite? Can someone explain how the PC architecture can screw up something so beautiful so horribly? Thanks.

Why do they say they are the computers, he doesn't say I'm a mac user, he says "I'm a mac".
Thanks. Some of the mac commercials are pretty decent, although still bogus in nature, and then you have ones like this one that are completely stupid.

I find it funny that the most widely used professional editing software, AVID, their highest end model wont even run on Macs. I also think it's stupid that the commercial portrays the movies like they do, it's all about who edits the movie not what system ou run it on. Maybe the PC guy just really sucks at editing.

I think it is more talking about the built in features of OSX and Windows... OSX has iMovie HD which is about 1000x better then the Windows XP Movie Editor

It's the same as saying writing an email on a mac will be Shakespeare but the same email written on a PC would be a Wanda Sykes monologue.

Odd, I'd rather read the Wanda Sykes monologue..........

I think shakespeare would have been a better choice, now that I think about it I'd rather kill myself than read either of those.

Its a Catch-22. If Microsoft puts out a decent tool, then the video editing software companies will scream bloody murder.

Yep. If Microsoft put out something half as good as iMovie HD, they'd get sued six ways to Sunday. All so that the third-party software companies can make more money, at the expense of Microsoft and the consumer.

and much sexier.

Those commercials aren't exactly for the computer literate... more like the "Ooooo it's pretty!" crowd.

Because you wouldn't have to do that if you owned a PC?

no, it's the fact that apple says "we're better than microsoft and windows" and yet references a microsoft product.
