MP4?

I'm taking a while guess but I guess its MP3 with more than two channel support...why would you need that if you listen with headphones

MP4 is actually MPEG4, the video standard Divx is based off of. Frankly, watching an MP4 video on a screen the size of an iPods makes no sense to me, but I can see why some people would do it, if not just for the "cool" factor.

I don't know when they were announced, but I saw some new really nice Creative MP3 players on their site, the MuVo2 and MuVo2 X-Trainer. The X-Trainer in particular is just what I had been waiting for, a very light player with good capacity 512MB/1024MB that is specifically designed for running. I had really high hopes when it was described as "light on your wallet," until I found the price on their shopping site which made it clear that they meant your wallet would be really light after buying one. The 512MB is $270, and the 1GB version is $500, ouch. The standard MuVo2 comes in a 1.5GB capacity and is a bit larger/heavier, yet still much lighter/smaller than the Zen/Ipods for $229. I hope the price drops when they hit retail, because I do really like them otherwise.

mpeg2 is the DVD video format.

I'd rather have longer battery life than a color screen and/or video playback ability.

I have the 15 GB (3rd generation, just replaced by the 20). It rules. It is by far the best portable MP3 player out there.
