Say what you want, but Bose's QC headphones are top notch! Everything else, I do not care for.

I have a MacBook Pro and an iPod, simply because Apple knows how to do things right. Putting the price premium aside Apple stuff seems to be pretty top notch. Bose, on the other hand, offers mediocre quality products at a huge price premium.

Apple's iPhone, iPod and MacBooks have been complete industry game changers.

Who isn't making a phone that isn't like the iPhone now? Even Nokia and Symbian which were once the kings who thought they could offer their featurephones and beat the iPhone are taking a step back and modeling the iPhone.

How many iPod wannabes were there? Dell DJ? Creative Zen? MS Zune?

The iPad may not look like much like the iPhone in 2007, but give it a year or two. Refinement might make it worth getting. The first iPod was trash. By the 4th gen, it was pretty solid and I bought one.

my Bose QC3's are awesome. Ive tired other noise reduction headsets while on a jet and in my opinion Bose have better quality and sound.

My iPod 120GB cost the same as an equivalent Creative or Zune (before MS stopped making them). No Apple Tax there and the quality is very good.

I guess some peepz think it's k00l to hate on teh applez, whether it makes sense or not.

It's not so much everyone hating Apple. It's everyone pointing not everything by Apple is a golden win.

I just can't stand the Apple bashing. First off, they offer fit and finish that most other manufactures can't touch. They also have made some game changing products; namely the iPod and iPhone.

Don't like it, don't buy it. But the free market has spoken and it is willing to pay a premium for what is generally a premium product.

Dont like it, dont buy it, very simple. No reason to hate on those that like the products
Damn, I think logical fallacies must be the specialty of OT.

He never said anything about the people and even if he did, it would still be a fair comparison.

Not hate, informing them. Trying to teech people about how things are. You teach 4 when a child counts 1,2,3,5. You don't pretend 4 doesn't exist. Now if the child is stubborn and not willign to learn, they will never learn 4. get it?

My friend has an iMac, the screen's awesome on it, and I really like the slot loading DVD that's a nice touch. With the 27" screen and panel it uses, the price on it was pretty reasonable. I cannot afford one though so I'll jump on the FUCK APPLE! bandwaggon. Even though I'm currently using OSX on my Hackintosh.

I don't like Apple, but at least their products tend to be decent to good. I can't say the same for Bose, having worked sound before.

So you wouldn't say that Apple fills a niche? Just like Bose fills a niche? I always notice after proving my point that Bose is crap sound, Bose users move along to the defense of "Well, the small size lets me put my speakers virtually anywhere". So even if we conclude that Apple has certain downers, what will fanboys resort to in defense?

It just works obviously. Might as well lump Monster into this group of crap as well.

Nothing wrong with the iPod or iPhone at all. When I bought my Zune (80GB) I had thought that I wanted an iPod until every review I saw gave the Zune the edge in audio quality. Since I prefer to buy the CD and create my own rip, that was enough to tip the scales for me.

When I went to buy a smartphone, I knew I preferred having a keyboard and I wanted to be on Alltel's network (now Verizon). I liked my Palm even though it wasn't as snazzy, and now the Droid has given me everything I could want in a phone.

In both cases, even though I didn't get the Apple product, I recognize that it was Apple's initial success in those markets that drove MS to release the Zune and Motorola to release the Droid.

What annoys me about some of the Apple crowd is not that they like Apple's products (which are generally well-made and nearly idiot-proof), but rather that there is all too often an unwillingness to concede that there are other devices which are superior in some areas and which can be a better choice for people who know exactly which aspects of the product are the most important to them. Of course, the same can be said about those who are unwilling to concede that Apple makes many products that are just about perfect for people who don't want to ever "get under the hood", so it goes both ways.
