Apple and PC Network?

My son just moved back in with us and he has an Apple and I have a pc. Can we network the 2 machines so we can use the same cable or DSL. I'm running on cable and he had dsl installed for his apple . I figured if we used one or the other togeather we could save money. But beings he has an apple and me a pc I dont know if it would work

Yep. Just go get yourself a router. Netgears are pretty good (the ones in blue metal, I don't really like their new silver plastic scheme). Make sure it has a 4 port switch on it also. Here is a good deal at compusa:

might as well pick up a wireless (11b) router, while you are at it. (If the apple has an airport) It just seems the 11b routers are going on "super sales" right now ($40) while the wired are only sold at regular price ($100)
