Apple and Android app store question

Can you still download a app that has been removed that you bought from the Apple or Android app store ?

My only experience with paid apps being removed is with the Apple app store. In both cases I am no longer able to download those apps. If you backed up your apps with iTunes you can still install them assuming the newer versions of iOS will still support the app.

If you can't find them in your apps on a Android phone there is always sideloading.
