in anubis' defense, how many games are on the mac:p Thats right, I didn't think so.

Is it a Mac only Monitor?

no you can hook it to a PC if you use a workstation graphics card, the Nvidia Quadro FX 3000 is the cheapest PC card that has Dual Link DVI at about 1000$ i think, the ATI Fire GL? card might be a lil cheaper but its close

Wouldn't the Nvidia 6800DLL work in a pc also?

You can just set the resolution lower and it will run games for the pc.

I run games lower then he 1920x1200 res on my 23" Sony Lcd. Games look good enough at lower resolution imo. Your not watching a static screen like if you run a Lcd at lower then it's native resolution like when you are using windows. You don't need text to be as sharp.

Unreal II was fine on my screen. A bit of ghosting but I can over look that for the sheer size of it.

The 30" wouldn't take much depth on my desk and that is what is important to me. It would take the same as my current lcd. Just a lot wider and taller :p

I wonder how much it will go down to in a few years?! 3yrs time if it gets anywhere near £1k I might have to get it and if it runs on the dam graphics card I have at the time. I'm a slow upgrader of graphics card as I don't game much.

Set the background to a windows logo before you leave.

Better yet- go home, use your programming skill to make a screenaver file that emulated the XP pro loading screen.

i was in the pasadena apple store on saturday . . .

30" is SERIOUSLY huge

the screen on the 20" imac is also pretty good . . . its the only think i like about the new imac; only thing is, they had the exact same screen on the old imac, and i liked that shape better
