How do I make Opera 7 add ".com" to the end after inputting the domain name of the site I want to visit in the address bar?

How about about typing "." then after that try typing "c" and again type "o" and yet again type out the letter "m". When you're done just press enter.

Really hard concept isn't it?

lol... I think it actually takes less time for me to type ".com" than to hit "ctrl-enter"

Well when you input a domain name and press Ctrl-Enter it ignores the Ctrl and acts as if you just hit Enter. And then it looks up the domain name. Takes a little longer to load, doesn't it?

Opera is sluggish all the time for me anyways so I couldn't tell you.
That program gets to be a memory hog!

I'm not sure about Opera 7 (didn't install it yet) but in 6.05 you can make it so that if you type anandtech it goes to anandtech.com
Try this: Preferences -> Network -> Server name completion -> Try name completion using Prefixes: www; Suffixes: com (there is a chance that these are the default settings)

Yah, I just tried it.

I typed in "anandtech" and it went to "www.anandtech.com"

In Opera, is there a way to open a new webpage (not a new tab) without clicking at the top?

CTRL-O in IE is one habit that is proving difficult to break. :(
