Lying is a learned skill. What you are essentially doing when you effectively lie is that you're "selling the story". It's easier to do this when you back it with emotion and sincerity.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and suggest the idea that, in general, women are better at expressing emotion than men.

The study should also point out that they are better liars than men because they find some justification for their lies and end up truly believing those damn lies. 😛
