Apparently my version of Windows XP isn't 2600??

Err... weird - I have the same version string exactly. XP Pro though.

But alas, I don't run StyleXP, so I can't help you.

hmm mine @work says : Buid 2600.xpsp1 (blah blah Service pack 1)
mine @ home: Buid 2600.xpsp2 (blah blah Service pack 1)
yours says: Buid 2600.xpsp2 (blah blah Service pack 1)

Is it the most recent version of Style XP?

And if you didnt get it from N4S above you are running build 2600; it would appear that StyleXP is just not detecting it correctly.

yeah, it seems that StyleXP doesn't detect it correctly. 2600.xpsp2 means that you have installed some SP2 files from windows update.

ALL windows XP machines that are up to date should read 2600.xpsp2 (even though they are running SP1) because they should have a number of post SP2 updates already installed. This is normal.

There is probably a hotfix or update applied to your system that's upped the version of ntoskrnl.exe and styleXP doesn't detect it properly. Reapplying a service pack will pretty much reset all the files to that specific version. I would probably check with styleXP though. I doubt you would be alone on this error.

Yeah, I checked the website, and version 2.0 supports SP2 allegedly, but redownloading and installing does nothing. No mention of this on the support pages. Sigh.
