Apparently I sometimes sleep with me eyes open

This morning I woke up when my gf says "you're awake!". I blinked a few times and sorta mumbled that I was now, and then rolled over. Then she told me my eyes were open before she said that. I kinda remember dreaming about something that had to do with looking around a room of people, but waking up and blinking your eyes shut is a weird feeling.

when you sleep part of your brain shuts down...yours probably is still shut down in the moments before you fully wake up, but after your eyes open

i do that all the time. thats what my gf tells me. it creeps her out. and when i wake up, my eyes are always dried up. i dunno. :\

I do it, too, apparently. Someone I know called it "dead man's eyes". Better keep some drops handy, as they are certainly not getting proper moisturizing when this is going on.
