w00t!

Does your wife know about this....? ;)

Yes and although she doesn't think too highly of it, I guess there are worse things I could be addicted.

She's actually going with me with her own $30 off $150 coupon, because I might be compelled to buy something else.

Wifes are great, aren't they? You can train them to use coupons on a separate purchase. My wife just completed 'Staples and Coupons 101'. Now onto 'Editing your html coupons in Notepad 201'.

Just got back, they had a total of 3 Cendyne 32/12/40 CD-RWs but I couldn't justify the extra expense/hassle/rebate of buying another CD-RW so we only used her coupon.

Also bought the $9.99 PRP (product replacement plan) which starts after the mfg warranty ends, if anything should go wrong or if the CD-RW should happen to break, they'll mail you a gift card for the price you paid (not including rebate/coupon). So in 1 year I'm getting a $100 gift card :D

Are the CenDyne units any good? I use Lite On in everything but the wholesaler I normally purchase from is out and I need to get a burner for a friend sometime early next week.

it all started in the coupon stacking fanatic of 2000, i told myself i would only need one hot deal, but like cocain, i couldn't hold back. When new years eve came and the iomega plextor 12x $99 burner deal came out, i was right back to my old habits of PMing and refreshing AT hot deals every 4 seconds.

The CenDyne's are one of four rebadged CD-RWs:

CenDyne 32x12x40 $99.99 - $50.00 MIR - $20 off $100 Staples coupon = $30.00
FYI: Some item to get total more $100 :Bagged Rubber Bands PLY12381 $.26 ; Smooth Finish Paper Clips, No. 1 $.16 UNV72210 or add a FREE after rebate item.

Link to CenDyne 32x Back in stock, but 4 Business Day delivery. Get they before they're gone again.

Link to rebate form

For Staples coupons do a search on Google.com key word "Staples coupons"

So far poeple who own the CenDyne 32x drive have identified the rebadged mfgs as Lite-on, verbatim (Rebadged Lite-ons), Mitsumi (16Mb Buffer and supports the 'Mt. Rainier' format) and now the AOpen (reads at 48x).

To identify which rebadged drive is in the Cendyne box look at the serials # on the top right label at the back of the box.

Lite-on 32x mfg drive have 12 digits, no letters - Sample (123456789012)
Verbatim 32x mfg drive have 12 digits, no letters - Sample (123456789012) (seem to be rebadged Lite-on 32x drives)
Mitsumi 32x drives have 22 digits mostly numbers -Sample (CR-123ATE45678A12QH9012). Also says 16BM buffer on the box.
New! AOpen 32x drives have 23 digits mostly numbers with three letters near the end -Sample (123D1234567890123JED1)U]

Here's a head to head comparison of the Lite-on and Mittsumi 32x drives Link to 32X roundup
Lite-on 32x review
Mitsumi 32x review
Verbatim 32x Info Look for drive model "VBT321240A" near serial #.

FYI: Lite-on has something call "SMART-Burn Media Checker for LTR-3212xx ". Useful util for LiteOn LTR-30123S and LTR-30125W users
1: Show what speed your writer will write this media at(which speed smartburn selects for your media).
2: Show the CD-R disc manufacturer, DYE type and CD length. Download it here
