******* App, illegal?

A friend of mine introduced me to ******* and it amazes me that there are so many movies and shows on it. Is there any way the movie industry can find out that I'm using this app? I know with torrents it's easy to find you but I don't believe you are sharing anything with ******.

If you pirate, there's nothing we can do about it but telling folks where to go or how to do it isn't allowed.

yay google for showing this thread before the edit :awe:

already used that app though. no different than the dodgy stuff available for apple TV i suppose

I googled real quick and I think<that app> was removed due to being illegal.

So, it's probably illegal. 😛

Stick to torrent sites, get the files, then you have them locally and don't have to rely on some special app or internet to watch.

An illegal app was removed for being illegal, therefore it was probably illegal.

I'm not sure how to interpret this. Enough with the cryptic language! I'm not a lawyer!

It's not really piracy if it has icons and shit.
qft 😛

but, on a rather more serious note, is it piracy if it is being streamed to your pc?
we must assume the streamer takes the burden of paying his copyright fees, the same way that netflix does. it's not up to the consumer to know if the legitimate business you are dealing with has some legal shortcomings.
or maybe when you go to the movie theater, you as them to show you the receipts of payment to the relative major?
